Illustrative project: 32 cards for an 80-guest reception

Imagine a couple making a deck for 80 guests who will play in pairs. They plan 32 photo cards, generate 40 boards, and prepare one calling deck. Each board has 16 spaces. This is an illustrative plan you can adapt, not a completed customer project.

• 8 cards for the couple’s story: first date, proposal, favorite café, first trip, home, pet, shared hobby, favorite song represented by your own photo.
• 8 cards for people: the couple, parents, grandparents, wedding party, and other loved ones. Use names and relationships that fit your family.
• 8 cards for celebration details: rings, flowers, cake, venue, invitations, shoes, table setting, and dance floor.
• 8 cards for familiar memories: trips, meals, places, traditions, and kind inside jokes your guests can recognize.

Turn the plan into photo cards and boards

Gather clear photos you have permission to use. Open a new project, upload the images, crop each subject, and add short card names. You need at least 16 cards; the maker allows up to 50. Review each name at board size, especially when using two languages.

Generate the number of boards your group needs, up to 100. Preview the cards and boards before buying access and finalizing. Finalizing uses a limited attempt and saves the finished version; make your photo and spelling changes beforehand. Download the available card and board files and keep a backup copy.

Card names that guests can recognize

Start with a clear picture and a name everyone can connect to it. Bilingual labels such as La Propuesta / The Proposal, El Perrito / The Pup, and El Pastel / The Cake are optional ideas for your own deck. They are not a list of included custom templates.

You can name cards for two brides, two grooms, or any couple’s story. Avoid tiny collages, long captions, or jokes that would embarrass someone. Use a few meaningful family traditions alongside everyday memories so guests from both sides can join in.

Plan boards around seats and players

Choose individual play or pairs before generating the final set. For 60 individual players, generate 60 boards. For 80 guests in pairs, generate 40. For 100 individual players, generate 100. If more than 100 people want to play, sharing boards in pairs or groups keeps the plan within the maker’s limit.

These limits apply to the custom maker. The ready-made bridal deck includes 40 different boards and cannot be assumed to include 80 or 100. Reprinting the same board creates identical layouts. Decide how you will handle ties, since different boards can also win on the same call.

Print, cut, and pack a reception game kit

For a 40-board example, two boards per Letter sheet use 20 sheets, plus separate sheets for the calling cards. Use landscape orientation for the board layout and check the actual download’s print preview. Test one sheet, check readability and size, then print the rest. Printer margins and scaling can affect the result.

Pack the boards, full calling deck, markers, chosen prizes, and a short rules note. If you prefer physical printing, review the custom print option separately and confirm timing before relying on it for your wedding date. Buying a Maker Pass alone does not order a physical set.

Fit a round into the reception

Agree with your coordinator on a seated moment when guests can hear the caller. A welcome gathering or a break before dancing is easier to follow than a noisy open dance floor. Let the host explain the pattern, show a sample card, and read names in both languages if helpful.

Use one caller for the room. Keep the drawn cards in order so a winning board can be checked. End after the agreed round or prize rather than interrupting dinner or speeches. If you plan to use the digital caller, test your screen and venue connection and bring the printed deck as backup.
