Nochebuena · memories worth sharing
A little Nochebuena Lotería. A gift that feels like your people.
The coffee is going around again. The wrapping paper is folded in a corner, somebody is saving the last tamal and the conversation has finally slowed down. You do not need a big activity to keep that feeling. Sometimes one round with familiar faces is enough.
Leer esta guía en españolFor Nochebuena, choose a ready-made Christmas deck or a custom photo game that fits the people at your table. Keep its boards and calling deck together, and make playing optional.
For a gift, decide whether you want a finished printed game, files you prepare yourself or a custom design. A shop purchase and a Maker pass are not the same thing.

An idea for your gathering
A little longer around the table
Let the evening belong to the family you have
Nochebuena is Christmas Eve, December 24. The way people spend it differs: dinner, worship, a quiet visit, an early bedtime or a little of everything. Ask what works for your household rather than making a schedule everybody has to follow.
If some guests attend a service, plan the game around them, not during it. Let children and adults join in pairs, sit out or leave after a round. Nobody has to tell a personal story or pose for a photo. A holiday game is an invitation, not another family obligation.
A Christmas edition or a little family album?
Navidad Latina is our original bilingual Christmas Lotería, available separately as a shop product. Preview the actual cards to decide whether its humor and references fit your gathering. Do not assume a seasonal cover means every card suits every child, workplace or faith community.
A custom photo game can be more personal: the dog under the tree, the recipe card in someone’s handwriting or the mug everybody borrows. Use your own or licensed images and ask permission for faces and nicknames. Do not make a surprise gift out of news somebody has not chosen to share.
Sixteen small memories can start a gift
Start a 4 × 4 design with at least 16 distinct cards; a 5 × 5 board needs at least 25. These are photo prompts, not included artwork: The Recipe / La Receta, The Mug / La Taza, The Kitchen / La Cocina, The Bread / El Pan, The Dessert / El Postre, The Table / La Mesa, The Chair / La Silla and The Pet / La Mascota.
Add The Sweater / El Suéter, The Ribbon / El Listón, The Book / El Libro, The Garden / El Jardín, The Ornament / La Esfera, The Visit / La Visita, The Photo / La Foto and The Hug / El Abrazo. Change any name to your family’s words. A favorite ordinary object can mean more than a perfect holiday picture.
Choose readable crops, spell names carefully and ask someone trusted to review the design. Keep private addresses, documents and sensitive stories out of the files. If the gift is a surprise, use photos already approved for this kind of sharing rather than assuming consent.
Make the first round easy to join
Explain one winning pattern before beginning, such as a complete horizontal row. Read the Spanish and English names, show the picture and pause. People can practice one turn or share a board. Keep the cards already drawn for checking the winner, and agree on ties before the first call.
A short round can fit before dessert or after coffee, but do not promise a precise playing time. Stop when people need a break. Keep drinks beside the boards, choose age-appropriate markers and supervise young children. The point is to spend time together, not finish every possible round.
Give a finished game, not an unexpected task
For a ready-made printed gift, check the physical edition’s exact contents and delivery estimate. For a digital shop purchase, read the included files and printing instructions; it does not send a package. If you plan to print it as a gift, allow time for a test page and preparation, and follow the product’s use terms.
For a custom gift, review the finished photos and wording before ordering or downloading. Maker access belongs to an account: this guide is not an offer of a transferable membership or gift card. Do not share your account password as a present. A physical set and permission to edit a project are different things.
Free draft, digital access or a printed order?
Create and preview a Maker draft free before deciding how to finish it. A new project pass covers one project with up to 50 boards bearing the Maker logo, 30 days from purchase to edit and three final saves. An active paid membership allows unlimited projects, up to 100 boards per project and unlimited edits and final saves with logo-free exports while active. Older passes keep their original benefits.
If you only need the physical game, order 50 or 100 custom boards with their matching calling deck from a saved free draft without first buying a pass or membership. A physical order does not unlock paid digital downloads. Printing, shipping, AI credits and ready-made shop downloads are separate options. Review current prices and the estimate for your order; this guide does not guarantee arrival before a celebration.
Before you wrap it, open it
Check final saved files, page size and board count before printing everything. Use the calling deck that belongs with those boards. For a physical order, follow its current delivery information rather than assuming an item will arrive before Christmas. Do not promise a recipient an arrival date the order has not confirmed.
Add a short personal note, offer to call the first round and help put it away afterward. The thoughtful part is not how large the set is. It is that someone recognized the people and little stories that make your table yours.
